Dear Debra:

This note is to commend your food service director and her wonderful staff. The meals they prepare are well planned, delicious, nutritious, and served with great kindness and cheerfulness. Whenever I bring my mother to and from the dining room for lunch or dinner, I can see the genuine concern of everyone who serves the residents, and that is a very comforting thing for a family member to observe.

Today the dining staff pulled off a monumental fete. Hardly moments had elapsed between preparing and serving a sumptuous turkey dinner and presenting a fabulous feast for the Chinese New Year celebration. I was amazed at the trays of egg rolls, dumplings and fried rice that materialized in such a short time after lunch. And all this happened just two days after the Mardi Gras pancake social!

I wanted you to know how much I appreciate the extraordinary efforts that the dining staff exert to make daily meals as well as special occasions so enjoyable for my mother and the other residents of Cedar Manor.
